Set up your AS2 connection

Set up your AS2 connection when a supplier who works with Hyperfox invites you to exchange EDI messages: you enter your AS2 details and certificates in the Hyperfox partner portal, upload your EDI specifications, and add Hyperfox as a partner in your own AS2 system. You need no Hyperfox account.

Before you begin

  • The invitation e-mail from Hyperfox. Its link stays valid for 30 days. When it has expired, ask your supplier to send the invitation again.
  • Your AS2 ID and the HTTPS address of your AS2 endpoint.
  • Your public encryption certificate and your public signing certificate, as .pem, .cer, .crt or .der files of at most 100 KB each.
  • Your EDI specification as a PDF for each message type you exchange with your supplier, and optionally an example message of each type as an .edi or .txt file.

Sign in to the partner portal

  1. Open the link in the invitation.
  2. Enter the e-mail address the invitation was sent to, and click Send verification code. Hyperfox e-mails you a six-digit code.
  3. Enter the code in Verification code and click Verify. The code stays valid for 10 minutes. To get a new one, click Resend code.

Enter your AS2 configuration

  1. In AS2 Configuration, fill in AS2 ID and AS2 Endpoint URL. The endpoint URL must start with https://.
  2. Choose the Encryption Algorithm, the Signing Algorithm and the MDN Preference your AS2 system uses.
  3. Click Next.

Upload your certificates

  1. In Certificates, upload your Public Encryption Certificate and your Public Signing Certificate.
  2. Click Next.

Upload your EDI specifications

  1. In EDI Specifications, upload the specification (PDF) of each message type you exchange, and optionally an example message:

    • ORDER: the orders you send to your supplier.
    • APERAK: the replies your supplier sends to your orders.
    • DESADV and INVOICE: the dispatch advices and invoices your supplier sends you, when they do.

Hyperfox uses your specifications to translate your messages.

  2. Click Submit & Provision. Hyperfox now sets up the connection. The portal shows that provisioning is in progress.

Add Hyperfox to your AS2 system

Under Hyperfox Configuration, the portal shows what your AS2 system needs to reach Hyperfox:

  1. Copy the AS2 ID and the Endpoint URL of Hyperfox.
  2. Note the Encryption Algorithm, the Signing Algorithm and the MDN Preference of Hyperfox.
  3. Click Download Hyperfox Certificate.
  4. Add Hyperfox as a partner in your AS2 system with these details and the certificate.

When the connection is active, Hyperfox e-mails you and the portal shows that the connection is ready. When provisioning fails, the portal shows the reason. Correct your configuration and click Retry Provisioning.

Send a test message

  1. In the portal, click Send Test Message.
  2. Wait for the result. When the test fails, the portal shows the last test error.

Change your connection later

Sign in to the portal again with the link in your invitation, then:

  • Click Edit Connection to change your AS2 ID, endpoint URL, algorithms or MDN preference.
  • Click Edit Certificates to upload a new certificate, for example before one expires. Leave a field empty to keep the current certificate.
  • Click Edit EDI Specs to upload a new specification or example message. Leave a field empty to keep the current one.

A change to your connection or certificates sets up the connection again. Click Save & Re-provision to save it.
