Fix order lines: item, quantity and unit
- User
Fix the lines of an order in the validation screen before you validate it. Do this when Hyperfox matched the wrong item or read the wrong quantity or unit, or when lines are missing or too many. If you are new to units and conversions, read How quantities and units are read and converted first.
Check before you start
- The order is open in the validation screen and is not read-only. Validate an order: check it and send it to your ERP shows how to open one.
- Your admin sets up the columns of Lines under Admin settings > Master Data, in the Table fields of the order line type. The steps are in Add or change a column. The steps on this page use item, quantity and unit. Your columns can have other names.
Change the item
- In Lines, click the item cell of the line.
- Type part of the item code or name.
- In the picker, choose the item. In a stock order, Hyperfox then checks the unit. If the line's unit is not one of the new item's units, Hyperfox changes it to one that is.
- Check the unit of the line.
When you validate, Hyperfox records this correction in Codex. On later orders from that customer, Codex applies your correction when the automatic match again picks the item you replaced, for a similar text. The background is in How Codex learns from your corrections.
Change the quantity and the unit
- In Lines, click the quantity cell of the line.
- Type the quantity and press
Enter. - Click the unit cell.
- In the picker, choose the unit. In a stock order, the picker shows only the units of the line's item. If an item has no units of its own, the picker shows every unit.
- Read the conversion hint under the quantity, for example "→ 240 × Stuk". The hint shows the quantity in the item's base unit, as Hyperfox sends it to your ERP. If there is no hint, the line is already in the base unit, or the item has no conversion for this unit.
If the unit you need is not in the picker, the item does not have that unit in your reference data. Ask whoever maintains your reference data to add it.
Edit the whole line
Some line fields are not shown as columns.
- On the line, click Row actions for line (three dots) and choose Edit, or press
⇧ Enter(Shift Enter). The Edit line panel opens with every field of the line. - Change the fields.
- Click Confirm, or press
⌘ S(Ctrl S). The panel closes and the line shows your changes. Cancel closes the panel without changes.
Add, delete and fill lines
Delete an empty line before you validate. Hyperfox checks an empty line like every other line. If a field of a line is required, the empty line blocks Validate. Otherwise the empty line goes to your ERP as a line without values.
- To add a line, click Add line under the lines, or press
⌘ ⇧ Enter(Ctrl Shift Enter). An empty line appears. - Fill in the new line.
- To delete a line, click Row actions for line > Delete in that line.
Hyperfox deletes the line without a confirmation. To undo, press
⌘ Z(Ctrl Z). - To copy the value of the line above into the focused cell, press
⌘ D(Ctrl D).
Change several lines at once
Since the release of 23 September 2026.

Undo a change

⌘ Z(Ctrl Z). - To redo the change, press
⌘ ⇧ Z(Ctrl Shift Z).
Undo works for every change in the inquiry until you leave it.
Check the totals
- Scroll to the Total row under the lines. The row sums the quantities per unit, for example "100,00 × Doos" and "20,00 × Pakje".
- Compare the totals with the totals on the document.
In a split inquiry, the totals also show all orders together. How to read them is in Handle a split inquiry: add orders, move lines, validate.
